Because of the restaurant's secluded mountainside location, guests enjoying Summer on the Terrace should not be surprised to see deer, hummingbirds and other wildlife indigenous to the area. "We even had a surprise visit from a black bear during a wedding we held out on the Terrace a few years ago," added Monette. As the first Colorado restaurant to be inducted into the Fine dining Hall of Fame (by Nation's Restaurant News in May 2004), the Flagstaff House strives to consistently provide a unique fine dining experience, combining breathtaking views with an award-winning 160-page wine list, exquisite contemporary French cuisine with Asian accents, and impeccable service with the personal touch of a family owned restaurant. "Our new Summer on the Terrace is a natural extension of the unique dining experience guests can expect at the Flagstaff House," said Monette. Located on Flagstaff Mountain in Boulder , Colorado , the Flagstaff House Restaurant is Colorado 's premier dining experience. Owned by the Monette Family since 1971, the Flagstaff House has the largest wine collection in Colorado , with more than 20,000 bottles and 3,000 selections.
